Introduction

Why Barberhead?  I was looking for a unique blogname that is easy to remember.  So, why not barberhead?

When I was in Standard 3 (Primary school 3), I had this very bad habit of  twitching my head to one side, a "tic", and repetitive blinking of my eyes.  My father was a barber.  So, my Standard 3 class teacher, Mr Stephen Soo, nicknamed me "Barberhead", and nearly every kid of my Standard knew my nickname, even though they did not know me personally.... I thought it was a derogrative term, then, but no thanks to Stephen Soo, it has stuck with me throughout my school life.

Anyway, this is my maiden journey into blogging.  I was sharing some of my spiritual journalings with a Christian brother and he suggested that I put down these experiences into a blog so that it can encourage a wider group of people.  So, here goes.  Dunno how it will turn out, or if it will die a natural death....:D

  1. It's so encouraging to see you finally turn your talents and experiences into a blog that I'm absolutely sure will find its way into the hearts of the spiritually needy. Your words are important especially when they come from deep within your heart.

Speak to those in the wilderness. Tell them your journeys. Offer them the colours of your life. Let them into your consciousness so they may see that in all our imperfections, God still love all of us with the kind of intensity we wish we have.

I really believe you will reach many people out there. And that, in its gist, is what Christ has called us to do, isn't it.

Well done, brother. Very very proud to see you take this great step forward. And welcome to the Internet world of blogging. It can be a hard slog. It can sometimes be discouraging. Perhaps even lonely from time to time but bear this in mind - someone somewhere could well be reading your articles and be really encouraged. You just don't know.

    K.
